The sculpture “Big Ear” will appear in the park on the shore of the pond in the village of Kostino. The project was approved at a meeting of the artistic council in the Kirov administration.
Last year, trees were planted in the “Klassny” park, now paths, lighting, and small architectural forms need to be installed here. At the entrance there is a granite stone, where they want to place the figure of Big Ear, a Soviet cartoon character.
The administration explained that it symbolizes kindness and emotional sensitivity. The inscription on the stone will remind you of this: “It is not theorems that remain in memory, but sensitive, wise teachers. Humanity is higher than education.”
Council members positively assessed the idea, but made comments on the composition, semantic load and text part. The project was sent for revision, taking into account the recommendations of designers and architects.
Let us remind you that next to the main entrance of the Kirov College of Musical Art named after I.V. Kazenin is offered to install an art object. Activists want to see benches and lanterns here, stylized as figures with musical instruments.
