In the Rostov region, additional fire safety measures will be introduced from April 28

A special fire regime will be in effect in the Don region from April 28 to October 20. Deputy Governor of the Rostov Region Sergei Bodryakov warned about this with reference to a recent government decree.

The special regime means a ban on making fires and burning garbage and vegetation.

The administration of local municipalities must organize the creation of mineralized strips under power lines and the cutting down of trees in the protection zones of power lines.

Also, the heads of agricultural enterprises were instructed to carry out preventive fire prevention measures.

Special patrols will monitor populated areas with fire extinguishing equipment. Forest areas also need to be monitored.

Earlier, Notepad Rostov wrote that last year, thanks to such comprehensive measures, the number of forest fires sharply decreased.
