The operational and preventive action “Bus” is aimed at improving safety in the field of passenger transportation and preventing accidents on the region’s roads involving passenger transport.

According to the State Traffic Inspectorate, in the Tambov region over the three months since the beginning of the year, the number of accidents involving passenger transport has decreased by half. However, two accidents did occur in Tambov and Michurinsk. A study of all the circumstances revealed facts of systematic violation of mandatory requirements in the field of road safety by bus drivers and owners, as well as non-use of seat belts by drivers and passengers.

Traffic police officers will pay increased attention to eliminating the causes and conditions that contribute to accidents involving buses, suppressing violations of the Traffic Rules, as well as monitoring passenger transport routes.

It should be noted that from April 1 to April 30, the Tambov region is hosting a road safety month, which was announced by the Head of the region, Maxim Egorov. The campaign is aimed at reducing accidents and implementing an additional set of measures to ensure road safety.

During the campaign, special attention is paid to the prevention of child road traffic injuries. Raids are planned aimed at preventing accidents involving drunk drivers, pedestrians, and also due to driving into the oncoming lane.

Municipalities will carry out organizational work aimed at preventing violations of traffic rules by persons using personal mobility devices (electric scooters, hoverboards, etc.), including limiting the speed of movement in public places.
