An accident with a truck and a paddy wagon blocked the road for pedestrians on Izmailovsky Prospekt in St. Petersburg on Wednesday, April 24. The accumulation of traffic jams was avoided, but the presence of casualties was not.
“A damaged paddy wagon + three cars, two ambulances on the spot, providing assistance,” they wrote on the Megapolis telegram channel. Judging by the footage, the paddy wagon escaped with minor damage, and the van remained standing on the zebra crossing with a torn bumper.
As the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation for St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region reported on April 24, the cars collided at house 16, the preliminary culprit was a truck. As a result of the accident, one of the police officers who were in the official vehicle was injured. The 36-year-old man was hospitalized in mild condition.
Previously, Fontanka wrote about an accident with a shifter on Komendantsky Avenue. The overturned car blocked part of the driveway and knocked down a road fence, part of which broke through the windshield.
