Workers smooth out a poster on a bus stop pavilion. The city is being decorated for the celebration of Victory Day. This year, about thirty stops will be decorated.

They were chosen along possible routes for foot columns and a military parade. From Sadovaya Square to Victory Square. From the Youth Palace of Culture to the Prince Vladimir Cemetery. All banners were created using new layouts. Two patriotic projects have been prepared.

“In the Footsteps of Great Battles” tells about the main battles during the Great Patriotic War. The second project, “Home Front Workers,” tells how the Vladimir region helped during the Great Patriotic War.

There are two teams of installers working in the city. In one day they decorate 5-6 pavilions. The work is painstaking. Unevenness is unacceptable.

We arrive, look at the layout of what it should be, and then we start gluing it. From the first glass to the third.

Banners are placed on the main transport routes of the city. In total, over 200 advertising structures of various formats will be installed. Greeting cards will be displayed on digital screens. Flags are already flying in the park near the Youth Palace of Culture and on Victory Square.

The main design is flag. Soft design. Flags are developing. It’s very elegant. Colorful. We usually choose the traditional color scheme: red, blue. Blue, as a symbol of the sky. Red, as a symbol of the Victory Banner.

About 800 color flags will be placed in Vladimir. In the future, they will be installed in parks, squares, and on the main streets of the city: Verkhnyaya Dubrova, Suzdalsky and Leninsky Avenues, Bolshaya Moskovskaya and Mira. About 500 flag panels will appear on power line supports. Residents of the regional capital have already felt the festive mood.

Very well. Purely. I love. Yesterday I personally cleaned the house. So, on the eve of the holiday.

Zhanna Vasilyeva, resident of Vladimir

Everything is beautiful for the holiday. They made some paving slabs here. Everything has been arranged here. Generally wonderful. Well done.

For many residents of Vladimir, the colorful flags are not just decorations, but symbols of the feat of fallen heroes. Another reason to think about your homeland.

Tatyana Noskova, resident of Vladimir

We need to remind people, the younger generation, to remember and not forget. What happened, what people experienced. What they gave their lives for. I think it is necessary.

Olga Kiseleva, resident of Vladimir

Of course it is necessary, definitely. Now the situation in the country is difficult. There is such a confrontation in the world. This is all very necessary.

For Great Victory Day, festive decorations will appear throughout the city, including in residential areas. Preparations are planned to be completed by May 6.
