Today, on the stage of the Palace of Children’s and Youth Creativity, the “Spring of Victory” festival was held, dedicated to the celebration of the 79th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War and the 80th anniversary of the liberation of the Hero City of Sevastopol from the Nazi invaders. More than 250 pupils from 22 preschool institutions in the city passed the qualifying round.
Preschool children performed songs and poems from the war years, as well as dance compositions on the corresponding theme. The celebration was attended by children of the Great Patriotic War, participants in a special military operation, teachers, heads of kindergartens, and parents of pupils.
“We ended the series of events among preschool educational institutions dedicated to Victory Day with a festival of children’s creativity, where talented Sevastopol residents and kindergarten students performed. Today we saw children who read poems, sang songs of the war years, and expressed their feelings and experiences through theatrical performances, drawings, and crafts. Raising the country’s patriots begins from an early age, so a lot of work is being done in this direction in kindergartens in our city,” noted Elena Andrus, head of the preschool education department of the Department of Education and Science.
Voting for the audience award in the competition of children’s drawings and family creative work also took place in the foyer of the Palace of Children’s and Youth Creativity.
“I am proud to take part in such a concert. I love performing on stage. Today we performed for veterans, and they saw that we remember and are proud of their exploits,” shared concert participant Lyubov Demina.
At the end of the gala concert, the laureates and teachers of the festival received certificates from the Department of Education and Science. The audience thanked the concert participants for the emotions they provided and wished everyone peace and goodness.
