A research and production company was created at the Omsk Transport Engineering Plant. There are already 20 people working there, 10 of whom are plant workers. As Omsktransmash reported, they were temporarily dismissed in order to be accepted as military personnel.

Turners, milling operators, mechanical assembly mechanics and others serve in the research and production company. These specialists are most needed in production.

Private research and production company Matvey Samoiluk Graduated from the Omsk Industrial and Economic College with a degree in installation and technical operation of industrial equipment. He was involved in the maintenance and repair of turning, milling, grinding and drilling machines, of which there are more than a hundred in the mechanical assembly shop.

While studying, the Omsk resident did an internship at a factory, and then he was hired. When the guy received a summons to the military registration and enlistment office, he was offered to serve in the research and production company of the plant without interruption from production.

“Some people think that our service here is somehow unreal, sometimes they even call it “nerds.” But we, like all conscripts, live according to the army daily routine: get up at 6 a.m., exercise, line up at 7:10 a.m., have breakfast, then go to the factory. We completed a 60-day young fighter course. In full uniform, with machine guns in their hands, they practiced military-tactical movements at the training ground, learned to provide first aid and evacuate the wounded,” Samoylyuk said.

Soldiers live in a military unit in the Kirov District. In the morning they are brought to the plant by bus, and after their shift they are taken away.
