There are many situations when doctors urgently need blood to save a person. And in our time – even more so. Rescuers are well aware of how important a constant supply of blood is. And not only do they know, but they also help create it.

The press service of the department spoke about the participation of employees of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the city of Sevastopol in a charity event for donating blood. The event was timed to coincide with the upcoming Fire Protection Day, which will be celebrated on April 30. 25 rescuers responded to the call to come to the Sevastopol Blood Center.

“Emergencies Ministry employees were asked to fill out the necessary documents, carefully examined their health status, indicators of well-being, and were invited to the so-called donor breakfast. The menu includes sweet tea and cookies. All sanitary standards were also observed,” the press service reports.

In total, department employees passed more than 13 liters blood, which once again confirmed their compliance with the title of rescuers.
