Traffic inspectors in Tambov check the transport of city carriers

Safety of passenger transportation in the area of ​​special attention of the State Traffic Inspectorate. The “Bus” campaign began in the regional center. Traffic police officers are actively checking the transport of city carriers.

Each bus is checked according to several parameters. These include the serviceability of the emergency door opening mechanism. Inspectors also use special equipment to measure steering wheel play. The average value of several control measurements should not exceed twenty degrees.

– The second measurement showed – 13.50. Third – 13.25. And the total average play showed 12.75. This bus is technically sound.

Of course, State Traffic Inspectorate employees check documents and vouchers. Thus, on the ring near the Dynamo stadium, while our film crew was working, 6 buses were checked.

Maxim Nifedov, senior state inspector of the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the city of Tambov: “We checked the MAZ city bus, which is in full technical condition. It has adequate steering wheel play, emergency exits work, and all travel documentation is available. Everything is within the framework of current legislation.”

Traffic police officers were convinced of the proper condition of the completely new buses. These blue-colored beauties have been transporting Tambov passengers for several weeks now. Let us remind you that thanks to our region’s participation in the federal project, it was possible to purchase 52 buses for the needs of passengers in the Tambov region. 12 of them travel on urban routes in the regional center.

Ilya Sadovikov, bus driver: “These are the ones that received the Volgabass,” we couldn’t be happier, of course. Still, it’s easier to drive, and the passengers also come out happy, as far as I hear. In general, a new car is a new one, of course.”

The operational and preventive event “Bus” started on April 23 as part of the month of road safety.

Ilya Razinin: “Since the beginning of the year, 15 accidents involving bus drivers have been registered in the Tambov region, in which 22 people received various injuries. The most frequently recorded traffic incidents were falling passengers – 9 facts, 4 facts of collisions and in 2 cases there was a collision with pedestrians.”

However, only two such accidents occurred due to the fault of passenger bus drivers. More than half of all violations were committed by passengers who did not comply with the rules for using transport.

Pavel Yurasov, special correspondent: “In two days, State Traffic Inspectorate employees checked 22 buses. And the work continues. By the way, violations were also identified. Checks will continue at different points in the city until Saturday inclusive.”

In case of detected violations, the bus is evacuated to the impound lot. The carrier organization is obliged to eliminate all faults, and only then the bus will be able to go on the route again.
