Gladkov named the main requirements for the construction of the Martial Arts Center in Belgorod

“We want to ensure we have as little empty space as possible so we don’t incur unnecessary costs. And it is necessary that the training process constantly takes place in each room. I would walk away from the front halls. Is not Belgorod Arena. Therefore, technical specifications are very important here. My opinion is that, of course, there should be stands, but they eat up space, although 90% of the time they are not needed. Therefore, I like the decision that was made at the Stary Oskol sports and recreation center when the stands were built on the second floor. Secondly, it seems to me that the stands should be transformable. When they were needed, they deployed them and held competitions. When the competition was over, we stopped and started the training process,” explained Gladkov.

At the meeting it was decided that there should be at least a thousand seats in the center. This will allow competitions to be held at regional levels, and for all-Russian competitions there is the Belgorod Arena.

Victor Nemkov expressed hope that the new sports complex will be able to hold qualifying MMA tournaments.
