The Kuibyshevsky District Court of St. Petersburg dropped the criminal case against transport policeman Seymur Dzhalilov, who was accused of hooliganism. He attacked the stranger, but later reconciled with him.

As the joint press service of the St. Petersburg courts reported on April 24, Jalilov was an employee of the patrol service of the transport police. The prosecution believed that he, while drunk, attacked a stranger on Rubinstein Street at about six in the morning on February 25. Not only obscenities were thrown at the man, but also fists – Jalilov struck two blows in the face and one in the victim’s hand when he began to defend himself. The injuries were assessed as not causing harm to health.

After the massacre, Jalilov did not calm down. Showing disdain for the stranger, he kicked the front door of the victim’s Geely Coolray car.

According to Fontanka, there was a traffic conflict between the men. Presumably, Geely cut off the car in which Jalilov was riding as a passenger. At the same time, the transport policeman was not on duty.

Jalilov and his defense attorney petitioned to have the criminal case dismissed. They referred to the fact that the transport policeman had not been convicted, had committed a crime of medium gravity for the first time, and also compensated the victim for material and moral damage in full, apologized and, on top of that, contributed 50 thousand rubles to the Alyosha charitable foundation. At the same time, Dzhalilov is a citizen of the Russian Federation, registered and lives in St. Petersburg, is not registered and is described at his place of residence without any comments.

The victim also submitted a petition in connection with reconciliation with the accused. The man has no complaints against him.

As a result, the court dismissed the criminal case of hooliganism (clause “a” of Part 1 of Article 213 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). Jalilov was released from custody in the courtroom. However, he will not be able to return to service – according to Fontanka, the man no longer works in the police.
