Tomorrow, April 25, the contractor will go to the site – 4.8 km of the highway will be updated along its entire length – from Gagarin to Uritsky
The head of the city, Dmitry Morev, announced this on his official page on social networks.
– On Thursday, the contractor will begin working on lowering the hatches; milling and dismantling of the side stone will begin on April 26. There will be one-lane restrictions in place, so drivers should take this into account and allow extra time for their journey! The first section where the road workers will go with the cutter is from Gagarin to Suvorov, wrote Dmitry Morev.
As the head of the city recalled, a full renovation will take place as part of the contract: in addition to the roadway and sides, it is planned to update sidewalks, parking pockets, replace bus pavilions, and install benches.
“This is a landmark avenue: it connects different districts and should be designed taking into account the interests of drivers, pedestrians and residents of adjacent areas,” emphasized Dmitry Morev.
In total, 8 road sections will be repaired in Arkhangelsk this year under the presidential national road construction project.
