Residents of the Chechen Republic can take part in a lecturer competition from the Russian Society “Knowledge”

The 50 winners of the main selection will receive 250 thousand rubles each to promote their educational content, and the strongest schoolchildren will receive vouchers to the Artek International Children’s Center. Citizens of the Russian Federation over 14 years of age can submit an application on the project website from April 24 to June 30, 2024 (schoolchildren – until June 3).
The main selection will begin with a training course on public speaking. Course graduates must upload a video business card and a letter of recommendation from government authorities, public associations, educational organizations, the scientific community or business by July 5.
The regional stage will take place from August to November: the contestants will have to organize their own lectures with the support of branches of the Knowledge Society. There are 14 lecture topics to choose from, one of them – “family values” – is dedicated to the Year of the Family in Russia.
The decision on admission to the finals will be made by the Expert Council. Contestants will perform before it online from November to December.

“For three seasons, the “League of Lecturers” has shown its relevance. The number of participants in the project increased manifold from year to year, and the expectations of the audience grew along with it: the lecturer of the Knowledge Society must have outstanding speaking skills, deep expertise in his field, and the ability to organize events. Therefore, the selection of regional lecturer teams has become more serious: it now includes training, interviews and testing of organizational skills. The overall leaders will go to the three-day finals in Moscow in 2025,” said Maxim Dreval, General Director of the Russian Society “Znanie”.

The selection in the “Schoolchildren” nomination will end in July: the contestants will receive training in public speaking, preparation of presentation materials and interviews with experts. 175 finalists will go to the specialized shift of Knowledge. The Knowledge.Lecturer – 2024 project is a continuation of the All-Russian competition “League of Lecturers”, which over three seasons covered all regions of Russia. Last season, the winner of the competition from the Chechen Republic was Adam Khatokhodzhaev, a social studies teacher at the Republican Complex of General and Additional Education “Kvant”.
Knowledge.Lecturer (formerly the “League of Lecturers”) is an all-Russian competition that allows each region to identify talented educators and create opportunities for their professional growth in this field. Within its framework, anyone can try their hand as a lecturer, improve their public speaking skills and find their audience. This is the flagship project of the Russian Society “Knowledge”, which has been implemented since 2021. Since the start of the project, more than 21,000 people have become participants.

The Russian Society “Knowledge” traces its history back to the Soviet public organization founded in 1947 on the initiative of representatives of the Soviet intelligentsia as the “All-Union Society for the Dissemination of Political and Scientific Knowledge” (since 1963 – the All-Union Society “Knowledge”, since 1991 – the Society ” Knowledge of Russia”).
