The industrial production index of the Nizhny Novgorod region amounted to 106.1%

Nizhny Novgorod. April 24. NTA-Volga region – Based on the results of January-March of this year, the industrial production index amounted to 106.1%, incl. in processing – 106.2%.

Deputy Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod Region Yegor Polyakov reported this on his Telegram channel.

Positive dynamics are ensured by key activities of the region: production of motor vehicles (+1.6 times y/y) and production of chemicals (+7.2% y/y), as well as such large industries as:
– furniture production +1.7 times y/y;
– production of finished metal products +30.2% y/y;
– production of rubber and plastic products +20.6% y/y;
– production of other non-metallic mineral products +18.1% y/y;
– computer production +15.2% y/y;
– wood processing and production of wood products +13.2% y/y, etc.

By the way, metallurgy entered the positive zone for the first time since the beginning of 2023 and showed an increase of +2.6% y/y, noted Egor Polyakov.

“Growth is observed in 13 out of 21 key types of manufacturing,” he added.
