A foreigner contacted the police after a taxi ride in the north of St. Petersburg. The man said that it was forced, painful and could cost 800 thousand rubles, but someone else’s appetite was satisfied with an iPhone and an amount 13 times less.

According to Fontanka, on the night of April 24, a 24-year-old citizen of Uzbekistan reported the attack to the Vyborg district police. Trouble overtook him in the parking lot of the Nord shopping center on Prosveshcheniya Avenue on Tuesday at about five o’clock in the evening.

According to the man, the strangers pushed him into a Hyundai Solaris with taxi service colorography and gave him a car tour of the surrounding area. The conversation was far from social: the passenger was beaten, frightened with a knife, a pistol and demanded 800 thousand rubles. The amount was unaffordable, and the attackers still made a discount. As the foreigner stated, he was released after receiving 20 thousand in cash, another 40 thousand by transfer and taking the iPhone 13, which the owner valued at 60 thousand rubles.
