Governor of the Ulyanovsk region Alexey Russkikh pays special attention to the quality of the road surface repairs carried out.
With the onset of favorable weather conditions, road organizations in the region began repair work. Currently, preparatory measures are being carried out in the Cherdaklinsky, Melekessky and Kuzovatovsky districts. The road surface is being milled there, and then they will begin laying a new asphalt concrete surface.

According to the Minister of Transport of the Ulyanovsk Region, Sergei Vorontsov, early contracting and high-quality preparation of contractors for the road construction season allowed the work to begin on time. The procurement of materials began in winter; crushed stone, sand, and bitumen were purchased. All materials passed incoming quality control in the laboratory of the Department of Roads under the department.

“In total, 15 asphalt concrete plants of contracting organizations are planned to be used during the road construction season. In April, as the asphalt plant was launched, inspections were carried out to check the readiness of enterprises and laboratories for the construction season,” commented the head of the relevant department.

In the 2024 road construction season, according to the national project “Safe Quality Roads”, out of 26 sections of roads where renovation is planned, 22 are of regional importance with a total length of 68 km and five sections are in Ulyanovsk with a length of almost five km.
