A Kaliningrad company was stripped of its license for selling alcohol at night

The Kaliningrad company “Alesa” was deprived of its license to sell alcohol. Local residents complained about the nightly sale of alcohol. The Kaliningrad.Ru correspondent was told about this by the press service of the regional government.

Since complaints against this organization continued and violations were not eliminated, it was decided to send the materials to Rosalkogoltabakcontrol to consider the issue of canceling the license out of court. The corresponding decision regarding the Alesa company, based on materials from our ministry, was made by the federal department on March 22, and on April 23 it came into force,” said Minister of Regional Control Elena Seraya.

The company’s license was valid until 2026. The document applied to three stores.

“The license revocation process is lengthy. Taking into account the activities that need to be carried out, it takes about six months or more. But organizations must understand that the retail sale of alcohol is under special control of the state; violations of citizens’ rights and direct prohibitions in this area are unacceptable and punishable,” Seraya added.

In February, amendments to the law on the retail sale of alcohol were prepared in the Kaliningrad region. New restrictions apply to the operation of liqueurs. According to the document, in the region it will be possible to retail beer, cider, poire and mead while providing catering services only in restaurants, bars, cafes and buffets. The restrictions are expected to come into force on September 1.

Previously, the authorities had already tightened the requirements for the work of “beer houses” in apartment buildings. In the fall of 2023, amendments to the law were adopted, according to which the minimum area of ​​the hall for serving visitors in such establishments must be at least 50 square meters.
