Comedy and drama about the lives of teenagers – in the April repertoire of the Omsk Youth Theater

Mystical thriller “Fox Lights” (16+)

A group of teenagers, punished for severe bullying, are taken to a boarding house for a seminar on re-education. Suddenly the bus stops in the middle of a country road under the northern lights. One of the passengers mockingly recalls the legend about a celestial fox, which sometimes goes out hunting for the evil living in a person. But very soon it turns out that the guys were in a hurry with their laughter – and there really is someone lurking nearby who is stronger and ready to force them to make a difficult choice…

This is a thriller play with elements of a detective story, where teenagers are presented as laboratory objects, who are studied, dissected, imposed on them with their worldview, and driven into the desired framework. Shifting attention from one character to another, director Alexander Cherepanov (Chelyabinsk) proposes to consider the psychological reasons for the actions of each bully, to find the background to their behavior. The clash of characters with each other creates an opportunity for an honest story about themselves.

The story of one boy “Manolito Ochkarik” (12+)

The boy Manolito is the simplest guy from an ordinary school. He does not have any unique abilities, but he has his own philosophy of life and a living imagination. A fight with his best friend, a trip to the store with his grandfather, an F on a test copied from an excellent student, and a date with a classmate – these are real adventures for an eight-year-old boy. And Manolito really needs to share his life stories with anyone who is willing (or not) to listen!

The play based on the best-selling book by the Spanish writer Elvira Lindo, “Manolito the Glassed Man,” will show the viewer how ironic and completely uncomplicated everyday life can turn out to be if a modern child tells about it.

Drama in two acts “Dear Elena Sergeevna” (16+)

Graduation class students came to congratulate their teacher on her birthday, bringing a bouquet and a gift. But they did this not out of good intentions, but to replace poorly written exam papers.

Everyone has an excuse, everyone has remorse about this. What are each of them willing to do to achieve their goal? What is meanness? Who needs nobility today? What happens if you give up your ideals and humanity?

“This is the eternal problem of fathers and sons, a conflict of generations. Our story is that there is a line to everything, and if you cross it, you lose the right to excuses,” said director Vladimir Voblikov.
