Construction of a new bridge across the Oka River in Ryazan will begin in 2025. The governor of the Ryazan region, Pavel Malkov, announced this on Wednesday, April 24, during a direct line.

According to the head of the region, funds are planned in the federal budget for the first stages of work. Construction of the bridge is expected to take three years.

“Experts confirm that the bridge that is currently in operation can operate for a maximum of seven years, provided that the travel of heavy vehicles is limited,” Malkov noted. – It requires a major reconstruction. The existing bridge must have two spans completely dismantled and rebuilt. We can do this only after the construction of a new bridge.

The head of the region emphasized that only federal funding can help with the construction of a new bridge across the Oka River in Ryazan.
