An indictment in a criminal case against 20 residents of the Moscow region and a resident of the Bryansk region was approved. They are accused of creating a criminal community and illegally importing unregistered medicines and medical products into Russia for the purpose. One of the members of an organized crime group is involved in a money laundering case.
According to investigators, in 2018, a resident of the Ramensky district created a criminal organization. It included 20 people aged from 26 to 54 years. The accomplices, using postal orders and transportation, imported wholesale quantities of medicines and dietary supplements into the Russian Federation from abroad. To store them, they equipped a warehouse in a residential building in the village of Popovka, and then in the village of Minino, Ramensky district. Products were sold on created Internet sites. Orders were placed through instant messengers, and couriers or mail delivered them to customers.
From April 2018 to April 2023, the defendants imported drugs and medical products worth more than 286 million rubles into Russia. The income generated exceeded 725 million rubles. One of the defendants used money obtained from crime to buy two plots of land and a house in the Krasnodar region.
The Bryansk District Court will consider the criminal case.
