The washed out road near the village of Melgunovo, Ryazan region, will be repaired after a year and a half. Governor Pavel Malkov announced this on his live broadcast on Wednesday, April 24.

The governor read out a question about a washed-out road in the village of Melgunovo and confirmed that “a large section of the road was indeed washed away there.” Malkov noted that a project has already been developed for repairs, and funds have been allocated for this.

“The work is planned to be completed by October 31 this year,” the governor concluded.

Residents of the village of Melgunovo reported that they were not paying attention to the road back in August 2023. As they noted, the road began to be repaired in the fall of 2022. On March 30, it became known that the road had failed.

According to local residents, this happened because the builders did not take into account the pipe passing under it. The Ministry of Transport, in turn, reported that the passage was closed until November 2023.
