A resident of the Tambov region will be tried for staging an accident

In the Tambov region, one of the members of the criminal group will appear in court. He is accused of 10 counts of auto insurance fraud.

According to investigators, from February 2019 to July 2021, members of the criminal group staged road accidents to receive insurance payments. It also included law enforcement officers. Over the entire period, the accomplices received more than 2.2 million rubles from car insurers.

A pre-trial cooperation agreement was concluded with the accused. The criminal case will be sent to the Leninsky District Court of Tambov for consideration on the merits, the prosecutor’s office of the Tambov region reports.

Regarding the remaining accomplices, the criminal case is at the final stage of investigation.
