Today in Samara the final sanitary workshop took place as part of the month of beautification, landscaping and improving the appearance of the city.
Traditionally, cleanliness continues to be maintained in all areas of Samara – municipal employees, employees of municipal enterprises and resource supply companies, representatives of management companies, homeowners associations, housing cooperatives, TSN, enterprises in various fields of activity, owners and employees of consumer market facilities, social and educational institutions, social activists and caring citizens.
The park named after Nikolai Shchors in the Zheleznodorozhny district was cleaned today by employees of the district administration, active residents, students of nearby schools No. 42 and No. 137, as well as children from the Parus Extracurricular Education Center, which is located in this park. The participants of the mediation demonstrated by their example how important it is to show active citizenship and benefit their city by taking part in the traditional spring cleaning.
In accordance with the seasonality, the Shchors Park area was cleaned of last year’s leaves and debris, sidewalk paths were swept, and the curb stones were painted.
The park is applying for improvement under the “Formation of a Comfortable Urban Environment” program of the national project “Housing and Urban Environment” next year.
According to the project, it is planned to lay out pedestrian paths on the territory, renew green spaces, equip a multifunctional children’s playground, and equip two sports areas with all the necessary equipment. In addition, the park may have an open summer stage, new benches and trash cans, decorative street lamps. The highlight of the transformation project will be the restoration of the children’s railway and fountain that once functioned here.
