The final meeting of the organizing committee of the 89th traditional Northern Festival and the 64th Northern Student Festival was held in Murmansk. Minister of Sports Svetlana Naumova presented letters of gratitude to those who helped and took an active part in the preparation and holding of the Polar Olympics events.
Everyone involved in organizing and holding the Festival of the North gathered in the hall – judges, members of the organizing committee, employees of security companies, partners, and media representatives. Everyone received memorable diplomas and gifts.
“It’s very nice that we work as a team and each of you, I say again, makes his contribution, his professionalism, his experience, his soul to the Festival of the North and to every event, thank you very much,” she noted Svetlana Naumova, Minister of Sports of the Murmansk Region.
Business provided great assistance in organizing the events. Financial and information support made it possible to hold the Festival of the North at a high organizational level.
– In this case, it is not the first time that Norilsk Nickel has participated in helping to organize sporting events at the Festival of the North. This has already become traditional and has been acting as a sponsor for such events for several years in a row. “Sport is important for the company, important for Murmansk, important for our entire country,” said Vitaly Egorov, chief specialist of the management staff of the Murmansk transport branch of Norilsk Nickel.
This year, over 40 sporting events were held as part of the Polar Olympics. More than five thousand athletes and 40 thousand spectators took part in them.
