Traffic restriction works have trapped transport in the north of St. Petersburg. After being stuck in traffic jams, buses will have their routes adjusted for the next week and a half, but motorists will have to endure it or find a detour.

A dead traffic jam formed on April 24 on Bogatyrsky Prospekt under the WHSD from the very morning, readers complain to Fontanka. There, since April 23, traffic has been limited at the intersection with Planernaya Street due to work on laying utility networks. The restrictions will last until May 2.

Judging by the video shared by the reader, the passage along the odd side of Bogatyrsky, from Staroderevenskaya to Yakhtennaya Street, is partially blocked, cars and buses are crowding to squeeze into the resulting “bottleneck.” At the same time, drivers enter the intersection, blocking the road for those driving along Planernaya.

At the same time, according to the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate of St. Petersburg, due to work on the networks, travel along Kamyshovaya and Sitsevaya streets at the intersections with Planernaya is blocked. The traffic jam, according to Yandex.Traffic, continues on both Bogatyrskoye and Planernaya.

St. Petersburg State Public Institution “Transport Organizer” reports that in connection with work on Bogatyrskoye from April 25 to May 5 on buses No. 180 and No. 184, as well as trolleybuses No. 60, the Planernaya Street stop, located on Bogatyrskoye in front of Planernaya, is moved 60 meters towards Staroderevenskaya street. And on bus No. 134, which should turn around at the intersection of Bogatyrskoye and Planernaya, it is temporarily cancelled.

And in the evening and at night from April 24 to 25, drivers will have another headache: due to work on laying the top layer of asphalt on Bogatyrsky Prospekt between Yakhtennaya and Planernaya, the exits from the WHSD will be closed, reports the press service of the Northern Capital Highway:

• From 21:30 on April 24 to 4:00 on April 25, the entrance from Bogatyrsky to the WHSD towards the north and the exit from the north to Bogatyrsky will be closed. It will be possible to get around through the interchanges with Primorsky and Shuvalovsky Avenues.
• From 1:00 to 6:00 on April 25, the entrance to the WHSD from Bogatyrskoye towards the south (detour – through the interchange with Shuvalovsky) and the exit from the WHSD when moving from the south (detour – through Planernaya or the interchange with Shuvalovsky) will be blocked.
