A 31-year-old citizen of the Republic of Turkmenistan tried to bribe a senior detective of the Voronezh FSB department. The foreigner did not want to leave Russia.
Now the illegal migrant is accused of attempted bribery (Part 3 of Article 30, Part 3 of Article 291 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). The court will decide his fate. The man is awaiting sentencing in custody.
In March, law enforcement officers tracked down several foreigners who were evading leaving Russia. Officially, their period of stay in our country has expired. One of the migrants at the police department, in order not to be fined or expelled from the country, offered money to an FSB officer. Although the law enforcement officer warned that a bribe was an illegal act, the foreigner still put the bills under the cover of the diary on the office table.
“However, he was unable to complete his criminal intent due to circumstances beyond his control, since his criminal actions were stopped by law enforcement officers,” stated the Investigative Committee of the Voronezh Region.
