The Moscow company was suspected of embezzling 103 million rubles during the implementation of a national project in Orel, Abireg reports.

In December 2022, a contract was signed between the Orel administration and Trunk Stroy for the construction of a water softening station as part of the Housing and Urban Environment national project. The initial price of the contract was 218 million rubles, of which 108 million rubles were transferred to the contractor as an advance.

The facility was supposed to be completed in November 2023, but Trankom Stroy violated the terms of the contract. The prosecutor’s office of the Sovetsky District of Orel conducted an inspection, during which it found that the contracting organization spent only 5 million rubles on the work; it is unknown where the remaining 103 million rubles went.
