The open festival of gusli performers “Gusli Silver Chime” took place in St. Petersburg. Students of MBU DO “Children’s Music School No. 4” with their teacher Irina Ivanova performed as part of a combined guslar orchestra, accompanied by the Orchestra of Russian Folk Instruments “Metelitsa”. PAI was informed about this by the Department of Culture of the Pskov Administration.

The event took place on April 21-22.

“Egorova Varvara, Klyavina Arina and Marshalova Anastasia with their teacher Ivanova Irina Gennadievna performed as part of a combined guslar orchestra accompanied by the Metelitsa Orchestra of Russian Folk Instruments. A bright and unforgettable moment of the festival was the performance of talented musicians, prominent representatives of the Pskov Gusel School Olga Alekseeva and Olga Vasilyeva,” the message says.

Both performers are graduates of Children’s Music School No. 4 in the class of teacher Vera Kudryavtseva, who is an Honored Worker of Culture of the Russian Federation, holder of the honorary title “Soul of Russia”.
