In the Zhirnovsky district, two men aged 55 and 36 went fishing. They sailed on a boat along the Medveditsa River and got food. At the Krasnoyarsk hydroelectric power station on the outskirts of the village of Fomenko, a small ship capsized, the fishermen fell into the water and drowned. The accident occurred on April 17 in front of eyewitnesses who reported it to law enforcement agencies.
It was not immediately possible to find the dead. Almost a week later, on April 22, the bodies of the drowned fishermen were found.
“An inspection is underway,” explained Daria Buyanova, senior assistant to the head of the Investigative Committee of the Investigative Committee for the Volgograd Region.
