A symbol of pride and military glory, the great feat of our soldiers. The All-Russian event “St. George’s Ribbon” has started in Ivanovo. On Wednesday in Ivanovo, on Victory Square, the youth patriotic action “St. George’s Ribbon” was launched. At the ceremony, songs from the war years were sung, and representatives of veteran and youth organizations spoke. All participants were presented with a Victory symbol, and at the end a 10-meter-long canvas in the colors of the St. George ribbon was unfurled.

Anton Korotkov, Chairman of the regional headquarters of “Volunteers of Victory”: “The St. George’s Ribbon started for the 19th year in a row. This year, our volunteers in the city of Ivanovo will distribute 10 thousand ribbons with the following brochures, which contain information about the history of the St. George Ribbon, and how it is recommended to wear the St. George Ribbon correctly. It is recommended to wear the ribbon near the heart, in a clean, neat manner. It is not recommended to wear the St. George Ribbon in a damaged state, on car antennas on the outside, on laces, hair, or bags. In general, only with dignity and honor.”

Volunteers and Youth Army members will present hundreds of symbols of memory and military glory these days. They will be distributed from April 25 to May 8 inclusive on weekdays at 16:00. Volunteers can be met on Pushkin, Pobeda, Lenin and Revolution squares, in the area of ​​the Nikolsky shopping center, at the bus station and at the memorial to the Heroes of the Front and Home Front on Sheremetevsky Prospekt.
