In Ivanovo these days the city school culinary competition “Tasty Stories” is taking place. Which is very supported by the Ivanovo mayor’s office. Young chefs cook at the competition at the Perspektiva career guidance center. There is all the necessary equipment for baking and preparing dishes: from cutting tables and mixers to household electric ovens. This time, more than 20 children expressed a desire to demonstrate their culinary skills. In 2 hours, each participant, in the presence of jury members, must prepare a salad and bake a signature cupcake.
Kirill Melnikov, participant of the culinary competition: “Rarely did anyone teach me how to cook, either I taught myself or they simply helped me. My mother taught me more, or my grandparents.”
Nadezhda Chernikova, additional education teacher at the Perspektiva center: “The profession of a cook is in demand today. Children gladly agree to participate in this competition. First, they learn to work independently. And secondly, some kind of creativity and creative thinking develops.”
According to the organizers, for high school students, the cooking competition will also be an additional bonus when entering a technical school. The next round will take place on May 8. Winners. as last year, they will receive certificates and valuable gifts from the Perspective center for the best creative solutions.
