At the direction of the head of the State Investigative Directorate for the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol, Vladimir Terentyev, a criminal case was opened for violation of safety rules during construction or other work, which resulted in the death of a person due to negligence (Part 2 of Article 216 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).
This afternoon, on the territory of an oil depot in the village of Komsomolskoye, where tanks with stored petroleum products are located, railway tanks caught fire.
As a result of the incident, one worker died on the spot, two with burns of varying severity were taken to a medical facility. One of the victims is in stable condition, the second is in the intensive care unit.
Currently, investigators from the Crimean Investigation Department for Transport are working on the site, an inspection of the territory is being carried out, and appropriate examinations have been appointed.
