Mayor of Belgorod Valentin Demidov reported that over the past week it was possible to restore 453 windows in 283 apartments and private houses, as well as 593 balconies in 368 apartments.
“Of course, there are individual questions and difficulties. As, for example, with balconies made of metal structures, which are no longer in production. Replacement of them objectively requires more time, since there are specific features in both components and installation,” the mayor noted.
Currently, 47 contractors are simultaneously working at different addresses. 4 large manufacturers of window blocks were involved in the work. They produce 1,550 products per shift.
“If necessary, we can take over 2 more window companies,” Demidov clarified.
He added that since the beginning of the Northern Military District, almost 7 thousand apartments and houses have been damaged by shelling by the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Belgorod.
In May, contractors plan to complete all restoration work on windows and balconies. According to Demidov, only those objects that cannot be accessed due to the fact that the owners are not in the city will remain.
