From May 17 to 19, 2024, with the blessing of Metropolitan Barsanuphius of St. Petersburg and Ladoga, the Second Bell Ringing Festival “Rings of the Northern Capital” will again be held in St. Petersburg.
This event has been held since 2023 and is aimed at popularizing the bell-ringing tradition of the Russian Orthodox Church, as well as developing the bell-ringing community in St. Petersburg.
“Ringing of the Northern Capital” is timed to coincide with the celebration of the Holy Resurrection of Christ and has already become a landmark event both in the parishes of the diocese and in the life of our city. As part of the festival, church and original bells will be heard over St. Petersburg, performed by bell ringers from our city and other regions of Russia.
All lovers of bell ringing are invited to attend festive concerts and share the joy of Christ’s Resurrection together.
Admission for listeners to all concerts within the program is free.
