Employees of the regional migration unit learned from her mother that a 44-year-old woman with health limitations could not independently contact the police. They decided to go to her and help her in the current situation.
In a personal conversation, a resident of the Volga region spoke about the difficult situation in her life: having arrived in the Samara region in 2003, she was unable to regulate her legal situation in the Russian Federation in time, and in 2011, her national passport expired.
In October 2022, a citizen of the Republic of Kazakhstan went through the procedure established by law and was given an identification certificate, however, due to health problems and difficult financial situation, she was unable to travel outside the region to document with a national passport.
Considering the difficult circumstances in which the woman had to find herself, the police did not remain indifferent – they helped her compatriot in obtaining temporary asylum in the Russian Federation and, since her mother is a citizen of the Russian Federation, a residence permit.
Currently, foreign citizens are provided with comprehensive assistance to apply for citizenship of the Russian Federation.
