From April 22 to 27, the traffic police is conducting a preventive operation “Pedestrian Crossing” on the territory of Vladimir. On April 24, its participants – propaganda officers of the State Traffic Inspectorate, traffic police inspectors, teachers and students of Lyceum No. 17, members of the “parental patrol” – held an action near the road ring at the intersection of Balakirev Street and Ivanova Boulevard.

Schoolchildren drew a large propaganda poster about road safety and a reminder. Pedestrians and drivers were reminded that the key to safety on the road is compliance with the Traffic Rules, responsibility and attentiveness. In addition to the reminders, they also distributed flicker keychains for children.

During two days of preventive measures, traffic police identified 11 traffic violations by drivers (they did not give priority to pedestrians) and 22 traffic violations by pedestrians. Administrative protocols were drawn up.

It should be noted that this year 30 accidents involving pedestrians were registered in the regional center. In such accidents, 3 people died, 28 people received injuries of varying severity. 18 accidents occurred at pedestrian crossings. In the previous week alone, there were 5 collisions with pedestrians, 2 of them at pedestrian crossings, 3 accidents involving minors.
