In Taishet, the Immortal Regiment march and the May Day demonstration were canceled. The decision on this was made by the anti-terrorist commission of the Taishet region.

“Due to existing threats to public safety, the central headquarters of the Immortal Regiment of Russia decided not to hold the Immortal Regiment march in 2024 in person”— The co-chairman of the All-Russian public movement “Immortal Regiment of Russia” and State Duma deputy Elena Tsunaeva reported yesterday.

The organizers of the “Immortal Regiment” movement propose, instead of a procession, to take part in the event of the same name, where everyone can choose a format convenient for themselves and talk about their hero by placing a portrait of a veteran on a car, on clothes or a badge, or by changing their avatar on social networks.

By the way, this exact same format was implemented in 2023.

Other events dedicated to the May holidays will be held in accordance with previously approved plan.
