In the Tula region, the capabilities of the mobile application for calling an ambulance will expand – News from Tula and the region

--

30 seconds – and a message about a call from the phone appears on the large screen of the control room of the Tula Center for Disaster Medicine. Operators immediately accept requests and assign them to available teams. They are displayed here – on the map. Thanks to the mobile application, 1 minute passes from call to departure.

“When calling the dispatcher, the patient may be nervous, so the conversation may take longer. And using the application, the patient himself chooses the reason for the call,” – Alexander Vostrikov, Deputy Head Physician for Information Security of the State Healthcare Institution “TsMKSiNMP”

Once distributed, the call is automatically transferred to the tablet to the ambulance team. The notification contains the address, details of the patient, his complaints and category of urgency. Emergency calls – fractures, acute illnesses or incised wounds. The ambulance responds to such calls first. And here the application also acts as a map for doctors.

“It allows you to more accurately determine the location of the call. Especially if it is an accident, and the person cannot say exactly where he is. The application displays geolocation, and we arrive exactly when called,” – Olga Poselyanina, emergency doctor

Appendix “103. Call an Ambulance” started operating in the region at the beginning of this year. 500 people have already used it. And the total number of downloads has reached 5000. You can find the program for free in any application store. When installing, you need to indicate your first name, last name, age and phone number. The data will be saved in your personal account – and you will not have to enter it again when you call the team.

The average ambulance delivery time in the regional capital is 13 minutes. This is one of the best results in the country. But it also happens that the victim does not have these minutes, for example, with severe frostbite or arterial bleeding. In this case, ordinary passers-by can provide first aid – until the doctors arrive.

But first of all, you still need to call a doctor. Thus, by naming the symptoms in the application, the patient gives the ambulance crew the opportunity to consult with a specialized specialist on the way. Soon the application will display the patient’s medical history. And also the mobile application “103. Calling an ambulance” is planned to be synchronized with the “State Services” system.
