In St. Petersburg, the citywide cleanup day was postponed for a month

--

Until a four-day working week has been introduced in Russia, St. Petersburg residents have only two days out of seven for rest. There are many desires, little time, and I want to have time to try everything. This is real at the Gazprom Arena, where there is bread and spectacle for every taste.

Similar leisure options – diverse and in one place – are offered in shopping centers. But there is some guile in their approach: everything is designed to stimulate consumer demand. Another thing is one of the largest and most modern stadiums in Europe on Krestovsky Island in St. Petersburg.

We’re not just about football

As the title says, a holiday at the Gazprom Arena is suitable for almost everyone. The match remains important, but by no means the only item on the day’s program. This may look strange – the answer lies in changing the rules of football competitions.

Until the summer of 2022, everyone could go to matches without any restrictions. On July 1 of that year, the Fan ID (fan passport) system began operating – personalized cards that are used to enter the stadium on the days of competitions within the Russian Premier League and the Russian Cup final.

Fan groups of all clubs opposed the introduction of Fan ID, but a holy place is never empty: the vacant fan sectors began to be occupied by those who are not only interested in the game process itself, but also want to relax in general. Fortunately, it will not be difficult for respectable citizens to obtain a fan passport – you can quickly and free of charge apply for it on the government services portal, at any multifunctional center, or even next to the Gazprom Arena itself right before the match.

The main thing is to have time to buy a ticket. For example, next weekend, April 21, there will be a match between Zenit and Orenburg. Choosing a comfortable seat in one of the most modern stadiums is as easy as shelling pears. Just go to the website of the Zenit football club – and in just a few clicks your ticket is yours. We recommend you try it!

Funny

The day off at the Gazprom Arena does not start with the referee’s whistle. The fan promenade, which is the name given to the area for stadium guests, opens two hours before the match. And for each match, the organizers develop an exclusive entertainment program.

The main point of each such program is a concert. Various popular artists perform their hits in front of stadium guests absolutely free of charge. Here you can also meet football stars in person.

There is also free entertainment for children at the fan promenade. Young fans can make their own face paint, take part in competitions and play slot machines. The list of activities is not limited to this – it’s easier to evaluate it personally than to study dozens of points in the text.

No matter how much energy you spend on pre-match entertainment, you can always eat before the game. In addition to zones with familiar dishes, Gazprom Arena offers themed food zones. For example, on Maslenitsa they served pancakes, and before the matches with Neftchi, Red Star and Fenerbahce – dishes of Azerbaijani, Serbian and Turkish cuisine.

You will be able to taste the new dishes right before the match between Zenit and Rubin on April 24 or during the half-time break. Our editorial team regularly attends football matches of our favorite city team and we can responsibly declare: having a tasty snack at the stadium is not a dream, but a reality!

This coming weekend, on Sunday, April 21, at the Gazprom Arena before the Zenit – Orenburg match, as part of the Fan Promenade, fans of all ages will enjoy a great entertainment program. Two hours before the starting whistle, at 14:15 St. Petersburg time, a large family holiday starts with an outdoor football amusement park, a food festival and a competition program on the street areas near the central staircase.

The meeting with Douglas Santos will begin at 15:00. As part of the autograph session, the blue-white-blue defender will meet with Zenit fans. On the second floor of Grandstand C, everyone will be able to get an autograph and take a souvenir photo with a player from the St. Petersburg team.

The youngest fans will enjoy a tour of the main stadium of St. Petersburg in the company of Rosa and Druzhka Barboskin. Young Zenit fans will be able to travel along an exciting route and meet the main characters of the animated series. You can register for the excursion at a special counter located on the third floor of Grandstand C in the arena bowl.

The culmination of the evening will be a concert by the Vintage group and a show on the main stage of the stadium, new interactive areas, face painting and fan poster stations, and bright photo zones.

Forecasters do not promise natural disasters, but the weather in St. Petersburg is changeable, so it’s time to buy tickets for the Zenit match and enjoy a wonderful weekend with a rich program, not forgetting to try special dishes available only at the stadium.

Cosy

It is always safe, warm and comfortable here. Since the 2018 World Cup, surveillance systems have been installed at the entrances to the stadium to cut off violators and those who are prohibited from attending football matches.

There are no queues at the entrance: there are separate entrances for spectators without carry-on luggage, for visitors with children, and for guests with limited mobility.

There are special changing tables for guests with infants. Children aged 2 to 14 years will be able not only to watch the match from comfortable playrooms, but also to organize, for example, their own competitions on a game console.

More than a thousand stewards, hundreds of volunteers and security guards work inside for the comfort of spectators, who are always ready to come to the rescue and prevent atrocities. Everything that happens at the stadium is monitored by specialists from the Unified Control Center, who immediately respond if anyone becomes ill or if any leakage occurs.

There will be enough space for everyone at the 60,000-seat Gazprom Arena, and no one will freeze – the stadium is equipped with a unique retractable roof, which, even on the most bad days, maintains a temperature of about 20 degrees in the room under the stands and about 15 degrees in the bowl.

All together – the cultural program, the match and the conditions in which they take place – create an indescribable atmosphere. The stadium has become a great football home for all ages. And it’s easy to become part of this house – just buy tickets for Zenit’s matches with Orenburg and Rubin using the Zenit website.

A visit to the Gazprom Arena is truly a full-fledged, varied leisure activity, and not just watching a football match. We will definitely be there and hope to meet you! Buy tickets quickly and join us! and join us!

It should be noted that FC Zenit always adheres to the line of social responsibility; at the last match with the support of G-Drive on April 17, the club, together with the Naked Heart Foundation, held the campaign “Autism: I’ll find out more about it”, so fans received more information about people with developmental features.
