The Smolensk delegation led by the Governor of the Smolensk region Vasily Anokhin, during a working trip to the Republic of Belarus, honored the feat of the Soviet liberator soldiers.
A memorial will be erected in Smolensk in memory of the defenders who died in the special military operation zone.
A ceremonial meeting dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Smolensk Regional Duma, the first session of which met on April 14, 1994, took place in the large hall of the House of Soviets.
