Moscow. April 24. INTERFAX.RU – Overdue wages in Russia as of April 1, 2024 amounted to 333.3 million rubles and, compared to March 1, 2024, decreased by 100.2 million rubles, or 23.1%, the Federal State Statistics Service reported (Rosstat).

As reported, overdue wages in the Russian Federation in February 2023 increased by 23.3%, to 433.5 million rubles, in January – by 1.3%, to 351.5 million rubles. In December 2023, wage debts in the Russian Federation decreased by 19.9%, to 347.0 million rubles, in November – by 5.8%, to 433.3 million rubles, in October they increased by 22.3%, to 459.9 million rubles, in September – decreased by 12.6%, to 375.9 million rubles, in August – by 3.2%, to 430 million rubles, in July – by 21.3%, to 444.2 million rubles, in June – by 11.6%, to 564.5 million rubles, in May – by 8.2%, to 638.4 million rubles, in April – by 7.2%, to 695.5 million rubles , in March – by 2.8%, to 749 million rubles.

Of the total amount of unpaid wages as of April 1, 2024, debts incurred in 2024 account for 88.7 million rubles (26.6%), in 2023 – 113.3 million rubles (34.0%), in 2022 year and earlier – 131.3 million rubles (39.4%).

The bulk of the debt was formed by overdue wage debts that arose due to the lack of organizations’ own funds. As of April 1, such debt amounted to 312.4 million rubles (a month earlier – 412.3 million rubles).

There were no arrears of wages from the federal budget and wages from local budgets as of April 1. The debts of the budgets of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation amounted to 20.9 million rubles (as of March 1 they amounted to 21.2 billion rubles).
