Scammers began offering Volgograd residents “dummies” instead of train tickets

Having paid for them, Volgograd residents are left without tickets and without money.

Employees of the Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for Volgograd appeal to their fellow countrymen with a warning – cases of fraudulent activities related to the purchase of train tickets have become more frequent in the region.

The city department noted that criminals, under the guise of electronic train tickets, are selling a “dummy” to residents of the Volgograd region. As a result, Volgograd residents find themselves without tickets and without money.

“When issuing tickets through websites, you must pay attention to the presence of company details, legal address, contact phone numbers, email for advice on purchasing an electronic ticket,” police officers note, “as well as information about registration as a legal entity or entrepreneur . The absence of such information should alert you, and it is better to refuse to make a purchase.
