In the Northern capital, prices for essential products have increased.
On Wednesday, April 24, it became known that since the beginning of 2024 in St. Petersburg, wheat bread has risen in price by 16 rubles, and rye bread by 17. This follows from data published by Rosstat.
So, in January, the average price per kilogram of white bread was about 114 rubles, but now it has risen to almost 130.
The cost of products made from rye flour increased from 88 to 105 rubles per kilogram.
As Kommersant reported, last Monday the price increase was discussed at the Ministry of Agriculture. The meeting was held with the participation of major market players.
Executive Director of the National Bakery Union Rustama Aydiev told the publication that manufacturers began to sell their products at higher prices due to increased logistics costs.
Let us recall that last week the Federal Antimonopoly Service warned suppliers against increasing egg prices by Easter. Corresponding letters were sent to manufacturers and retail chains.
