The head of the All-Russian Federation of Rhythmic Gymnastics, Irina Viner, spoke about plans to create an International League of Rhythmic Gymnastics Clubs, which will allow for better management of the competition system. Gymnasts from the strongest clubs around the world will participate in the league.

The presentation of the International League of Rhythmic Gymnastics Clubs took place on April 24 in Dubai, reports TASS agency. As I told you Irina Vinerthe largest city in the UAE was not chosen as the venue for the presentation by chance: there are many independent rhythmic gymnastics clubs in the kingdom that regularly organize their competitions and invite athletes from different countries to them.

We want to create a league of clubs in which gymnasts from the strongest clubs around the world can participate. If these are tournaments like the BRICS Games, then national teams or winners of such leagues will take part in them, as their leadership decides.”said the head of the Russian Federation.

She noted that the strongest gymnasts come from clubs, and the creation of a club league will make it possible to better manage the competition system.

“Our country already has similar successful experience, for example in hockey, and we plan to do the same in order to hold such wonderful competitions. On May 8 we will have a concert, before which a club tournament will be held from May 1 to 6, in which 20 clubs from abroad will take part,” – added Irina Viner.
