From April 22 to 27, Orenburg hosts the All-Russian Labor Safety Week from Russian student teams. The event is held on the eve of World Day for Safety and Health at Work. The goal is to develop skills in organizing safe working conditions among student teams at work sites, and early identification of potential risks at work sites. One of the main objectives of occupational safety week is to increase the level of interest in safe work performance.
– Safe work is one of the main values in Russian student teams. Preserving the life and health of students who work as part of student teams is a priority during the working season. The topic of safe work is given special attention during training, and it is also mandatory to undergo all instructions upon arrival at work sites, noted First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Youth Policy, Chairman of the Board of Russian Student Teams Mikhail Kiselev.
During Occupational Safety Week, thematic lectures and practical master classes from invited speakers are held. Each day is dedicated to a specific topic: on April 22, at the regional youth center “Youth of the Orenburg Region” a meeting was held with Galina Sidorina, a teacher at the training center of the Ministry of Labor and Employment of the Orenburg Region, on the topic “Labor protection in youth work” On April 23 there will be a practical lesson on working with a fire extinguisher, on April 24 – “PPE Day“, on April 25 there will be a lecture on working at height”, on April 26 – “First Aid Day”, on April 27 there will be a unified online testing on labor protection.
The event is part of the implementation of the plan of main events dedicated to the 65th anniversary of the movement of student groups of the Russian Federation and the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the All-Russian Youth Public Organization “Russian Student Teams”.
The organizer is the Orenburg regional branch of the Russian student groups together with the Ministry of Labor and Employment of the Orenburg Region, the Orenburg branch of the Russian Red Cross, the Orenburg State Medical University, a structural unit of the Ural branch of the FPC LCH Orenburg.
