April 24. The Magadan Region Prosecutor’s Office approved an indictment in a criminal case against a resident of the Rostov Region. He is accused of committing a crime under Part 1 of Art. 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (murder), the Magadan Region Prosecutor’s Office reported to MagadanMedia.

The criminal case was investigated by the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Magadan Region.

According to investigators, in December 2023, at night, the man was visiting friends in the village of Sokol. While drinking alcohol, a conflict arose during which the owner of the apartment put the guest in a chokehold, while his wife held his hands. Freeing himself, the man hit the woman and pushed the attacker away, but he attacked him with a kitchen knife and struck him several times in the neck and arms.

In self-defense, the guest grabbed another kitchen knife and attacked his friend, inflicting at least 14 stab wounds. As a result of the injuries received, the victim fell to the floor and died a short time later.

After this, a man with a knife attacked the owner of the apartment, who died from stab wounds at the scene.

The criminal case will be heard in the Magadan City Court.
