Russia blocked the US resolution on nuclear weapons in space in the UN Security Council

Russia used its veto power in the UN Security Council and blocked a project prepared by the United States and Japan on the non-deployment of weapons (nuclear weapons) in space. RIA Novosti reports this.

China abstained from voting, while the other 13 countries voted for the project.

Let us remind you that today the UN Security Council did not accept the amendment of Russia and China to the resolution of the United States and Japan on the non-deployment of nuclear weapons in space. Moscow and Beijing insisted that the document should include a ban on all types of weapons. The Russian side pointed out that the American draft resolution has a “double, if not triple bottom.”
