More than 250 kilometers of gas pipelines were built in Karelia in 2023

The government of the republic has provided the technical capability for additional gasification of more than 6,200 households in 31 settlements. The head of Karelia, Artur Parfenchikov, in a report on the results of 2023 to Karelian parliamentarians, spoke about the pace of gasification in the region.

Gasification remains a strategic direction in the economic policy pursued by the Government of Karelia. According to the Russian Ministry of Energy, the level of gasification in the republic in 2023 was almost 35%.

In accordance with the instructions of the President of the Russian Federation V.V. Putin, work continued on additional gasification of individual residential buildings. It involves free delivery of gas distribution networks to the boundaries of plots in already gasified settlements. In Karelia, the possibility of social gasification has already been created for more than 6,200 households in 31 settlements in the Olonetsky, Prionezhsky, Kondopoga districts and Petrozavodsk.

“The absolute priority is additional gasification of individual houses. Gas has already been supplied free of charge to the borders of more than 300 land plots. We help preferential categories of citizens, including families of SVO participants, with gas communications within the site. As of today, gas has been supplied to 13 houses of this category of citizens, work is underway to connect another 90 households,” noted Artur Parfenchikov.

In 2023, at the expense of the Gazprom Mezhregiongaz organization, 122.75 km of gas branch pipeline, the Pitkyaranta gas distribution station, an inter-settlement gas pipeline from the Pitkyaranta gas distribution station to the gas distribution point and the pulp and paper mill, as well as a supply gas pipeline extending to the gas boiler house in Pitkyaranta were built in the Pitkyaranta region . In the Pudozhsky district, three inter-settlement gas pipelines have been completed from the Pudozh gas distribution station to the village of Kubovo, the villages of Shalsky and Onezhsky with a total length of more than 132 km.
