The All-Russian campaign “St. George’s Ribbon” has started in the Kaluga region

In Kaluga, Victory Volunteers took to the site in front of the Central cinema, the press service of the governor and government of the Kaluga region reported.

“Volunteers don’t just hand out ribbons to passersby. To receive a ribbon, you need to correctly answer a number of questions about the history of the appearance of the St. George ribbon and the rules for wearing it,”

– said the head of the department of military-patriotic education of the Regional Youth Center Artyom Mitrokhin.

As explained at the youth center, if a person answers correctly, he receives a ribbon. If it is incorrect, the volunteer gives him a special leaflet with the correct information and invites him to contact the volunteer next time.

Volunteers on the site in front of the Central cinema, as well as on the boulevard of Stepan Razin Street, will work every day, seven days a week, until May 9 from 15:00 to 17:00.

This year, residents of the region will be able to take part in the event at more than 400 sites throughout the region.

About 40 thousand ribbons will be distributed, of which 5 thousand will be distributed in Kaluga.
