A 28-year-old Tula man was sentenced for the murder of his mother’s boyfriend. This was reported by the press service of the regional prosecutor’s office.

The investigation established that on the evening of June 15, 2023, the man was visiting his mother. He had a conflict with her boyfriend. The quarrel ended in tragedy – the defendant hit his mother’s lover on the head several times. And the next day the victim died from his injuries in the hospital.

The court sentenced the Tula resident to 8 years in prison. He will serve his sentence in a maximum security colony.

Tula will go to trial 25 years after the murder of the girl. The man wanted to rob his friend, strangled her and threw her into the river.

In Tula, the court is considering the case of the murder of a mother and son 25 years ago. In 2023, their bodies were found buried in the territory of a private house on Stvolnaya Street.
